Fran Fraschilla is one of the best basketball minds in the world.  His knowledge of the game both at home and internationally is unrivaled.  Recently we sent Coach a tweet asking him “What one quote did you always tell your player?”

His reply was awesome, and still relevant for today’s athletes:

Do your work early

As coaches we know that not all of our players have the same work ethic, but those who put in work early trump those who procrastinate.

For coaches just starting out – we strongly suggest that you do some digging in google and search for “Hoops 101” from Fran Fraschilla from ESPN.com – it remains today one of the best written pieces on coaching basketball published.
